Absolutely beautiful looking beer. Has a bit of a sour taste to it. Nice spice hides the aftertaste. Respectible-like beer.

Nice prune juice color and aroma with minimal head. Touches of molasses in the nose. Flavor is tobacco, dry and lucious. Malts are bold and lack a little complexity. Easy on the palate and a pleasure to swill.

16oz bottle. This one was a bit flat, others I had from the 4 pack were better. Classic winter beer taste, even though this one is supposed to be a bock and not an English strong like the Redhooks, Odells, ect...this one is less fruity and more smooth with a butterscoth malt aroma where some roastiness dances in the background. Seems a bit thin, but that could be the lack of carbonation as well...enjoyable, but nothing spectacular. Finishes crisp and bitter, and is actually somewhat refreshing. About as good as any other dark roasty winterbeer I’ve had.

Pours is a deep, dark red. Aroma is very hoppy and fruity. Flavor is malty and sweet but very dull and watery. The aroma is the best thing about this brew. Average at best.

Pours a dark dark brown, bubbly off white head. aroma of malt and cherries. Deep "brandy" alcohol smell. Flavor is bitter, licorice, cherries, and hops, oily finish.

clear, deep amber color, very thick beige head. nice malty, slightly nutty aroma...this is nice, i’ve had too many ales lately. quite a sweetness to the aroma...not cloyingly so, however. flavor is sweet, with mild dark fruits, fairly thin-bodied, but overall quite decent. sprecher never disappoints me.

Dark brown ruby beer. Foamy cream edges. No Head. Smells like carmel, burnt marshmallow, raisin/prunes. Great smell. I like the bitterness in the flavor but it ends with a kind of metallic taste. Nice coffee overtones. Pretty nice bock.
