16oz bottle-Dark ruby brown body with a small tan covering for a head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and some sweetness. Taste of the same with a nice dry finish. Nice tasting brew.

This beer pours a dark brownish black colour with a small thin tan head. Aromas of coffee, spice, carmel and nutmeg. Heavy and full in the mouth, semi-sweet, finishes smooth with a soft touch of hops.

Pour is medium to dark brown with creamy light tan head. Aroma is of roasted malt, caramel, and molasses. Flavor is very roasted with sweet caramel notes with a clean finish. Real smooth and full of flavor. Probably worth another buy.

Deep brown under a fleeting, cocoa-toned head. Looks good while it lasts. Sweetness in the nose, nuts & caramel, ending dry, clean. Taste: dark toned, cola notes, nice and malty, warm & toasty. A bit roasty, but then, a touch too syrupy. Sweetness is tempered, though, never too much, but ...almost... Ultimately, too thin for me, but a decent bock. Not quite good enough for a winter ale, though. Shouldn’t a bock be a spring seasonal? More malt, more hops, please!

Bottle into Snifter glass. Pours a dark, dark brown, just a fews degrees short of black, with a fluffy, light tan head that dissapates fairly quickly. Has a sweet, roasty malts aroma. Flavor seemed to have an initial caramel that never appeared again, so I’m not sure where it came from or went. Further sips yielded more of the roasted, sweet malts and just a touch of hops bitterness laying underneath it all. Left a somewhat oily, but not destructively so, feel on the roof of the mouth, but also some thin creaminess, too. Overall, not a groundbreaker full of flavor gymnastics, but sometimes I just want a flavorful beer that won’t leave me buzzed or reeling with a scortched palate for days. This woulkd fit the bill.

Pours a dark brown with ruby hues. Simple light tan head that goes away quickly. Aroma of spice and sweet malt. Flavor has a nice spiciness and sweet flavor with a slight hop presence. Really nice winter beer with a medium body. Definitely enjoy this.

16oz bottle courtesy of my motherinlaw. Sweet roasted peanut aroma. Brown body with off white head that disipatted fast. Flavor has more of a nutty pesence but there is also some sweet caramel and toffee notes also almost like the altbier I had before this one but cleansed the palate with water. This one is somewhat flat and harder to drink. Alright but little sweet and flat carbination makes it little blah.

A roasted caramel flavor with a medium body. As others described, the mouthfeel is thin. But not too bad for a winter brew.
