| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Pours a beautiful mahogany red with a tan head, mostly dissipating. Aroma is not pronounced. Creamy soft on the palate, the taste is mostly of dark roasted malt, mild, not bitter. Nice aftertaste. A pleasant beer but not the best that Sprecher has to offer. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 8, 2007 Pours a bronzed mahogany with a largish, khaki head that settles slow to a creamy cap. Light oxidation (vegetal/vinegar) burns off to reveal a base of savory malts and chocolate with mild rye & leather notes behind. Smooth bodied with a light tingle. A thick, malted flavor helps this brew live up to the title "Winter Warmer". Chocolate and caramel, not overly sweet but on an even keel to a dry finish. Quite satisfying on an 11°F day.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2007 16oz bottle acquired in multiple trades. Poured a deeper mahogany color wiht an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, roast, light chocolate, toffee, and licorice. Tastes of toffee (reminded me of those hard toffee candies), roast, nuts, and light chocolate. Lively body. KingpinIPA (842), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Dark color. Smell of malt, caramel, chocolate, coffee, fruit and hops. Taste of prunes, coco, rusty nails, burnt caramel, hops and nuts. Decent beer. maybe add some more hops and spices. jewedekind (450), Middleton, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 31, 2006 This little jewel pours a nice, clear dark brown with a tan, slightly fizzy head. Sharp on the front end, with not a lot on it, but finishes long with milk chocolate, vanilla and spice. Like a molasses Christmas cookie. I taste ginger and also the sugar that others note. Very nice. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2006 From a distinctive 16 oz. Sprecher embossed bottle with a freshness date on the neck of bottle.
Poured a dark cola brown with a fluffy, frothy off-white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing.
Aromas of sweet roasted malts and caramel, slightly nutty, a raisin and plum fruitiness, and a subtle spicy herbal.
Good even carbonation and a crisp, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of dark roasted malts laced with caramel, a bit sugary, nutty, a light fruitiness, spicy, herbal hops with a little leafiness, and a dry roasted malty finish.
An easy, smooth drinking seasonal bock, exactly what you would expect from Sprecher.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 17, 2006 On tap at Benders sports pub. Sprecher Winter Brew was a hazy brown hue with a slight tan head (went away quickly). Flavor was very good, but hard to pinpoint. I tasted that familiar charred taste along with some sweetness, which I’m guessing was the caramel malts. Pretty much a standard winter beer, which is one of my favorite styles. Another quality brew from Sprecher. Illini08 (528), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 14, 2006 16 oz bottle. Dark brown pour. Weak aroma of some sweet malts and was slightly nutty. Subtle roasted malt and caramel flavor. Just a hint of hops in the finish. Decent winter seasonal.
