The aroma is sour with notes of yeast and butter. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of butter, a light sourness, fruit (but not really banana) and only a little bit of clove. It ends on a mouldy/earth like note with a little clove bite. It’s a bit weird. MiP (9161), Sønderborg, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2003 Updated: Nov 3, 2003This is a nice example of a Weizen. Has a nice bit of the characteristic banana and clove character to it. A great late spring to summer beer. Served on draught, has a nice hazy gold color to it. Tastes a bit tart, with a pleasing amount of carbonation. The yeast flavor is good, not assertive and all the proper components for a Bavarian Weizen are present: clove, banana esters, yeastiness, and of course the refreshing wheat flavor. The beer is made from 50 % wheat malt a bit of light German crystal and bittered with Perle hops.
