Commercial Description:
An American-style ale brewed one barrel at a time. The malt bill is built on American two-row malt and accented by crystal 10, Vienna, and white wheat malts. Magnum hops give the beer a nice clean bittering and Amarillo, Cascade, and Centennial hop varieties provide a pleasant floral and citrusy hop flavor. A healthy dose of additional Amarillo and Centennial are dry hopped to give this beer an inviting hop aroma. The beer is fermented with a neutral yeast strain and allowed to dry out so it finishes crisp and clean.

16oz brown bottle, batch #3, purchased at Whole Foods in Portland, Maine. Pours a hazy golden yellow with a good two inches of off-white rocky head that slowly dissipates. Citrussy American hops (C-hops?) come through strong on the aroma, with notes of orange, lemon, grapefruit, and pine. Tastes very hoppy too, but not in an unbalanced way. There’s just enough biscuit and caramel to balance this very hop forward beer. Orange, grapefruit, lemon jump out immediately, with strong pithy, grassy, and piney notes, as well as a touch of cattiness in the finish and aftertaste. Medium bodied with a smooth creamy carbonation. Leaves a fair bit of lacing as the beer is drank. Very well done - definitely one of the finest APAs I have ever had, up there with Dale’s and others. Dangerously drinkable, super tasty, but not overwhelming on any count. I am impressed and I can’t wait to see what this brewery does next. Thanks guys for having "decided... to share"!

Bottle thanks to ericandersavy. Pours a light cloudy gold with white head. Aroma of some nice grapefruit and light malt, aromatic. Flavor of light, crisp grapefruit, light malt, earthy, and a nice bitterness at the end. Mouth feel is light-medium body with high carbonation. Overall, it’s a nice, refreshing hoppy beer, I liked it....

(16 oz. bottle (batch 3) from Rising Tide) Hop bomb...Pours cloudy pale golden, cloudier and more amber as it gets deeper in the bottle. Very tall foamy off-white head slowly recedes to a big foamy, frothy sloppy cap. Big hoppy, resiny aroma of grapefruit and pine. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, a bit thin, lightly carbonated. Palate becomes a little thicker deeper in the bottle. Big, sticky, sloppy foamy lacing all along inside of shaker. Flavor is all about the hops - sharp grapefruit rind and lighter pine. Medium-heavy bitter. Malt base is barely discernible. Has kind of a rough feel to it. Like a mini Alpha King.
