Black with a frothy tan head. Mild roasted malt aroma. Smooth medium body. Very dry blackened malt flavors with earthy seaweed. Could be worse.

On tap at brewpub. This was a pretty good looking stout. Very dark with a nice creamy head. Aroma was of roasted coffee and chocolate. Taste was roasted and chocolate as well with a very dry finish. Excellent lacing. Would drink again.

Pour is black cola color with a large bigbubbled brown head...very roasty chocolate aroma with subtle hints of coffee...smoke? disappointing once you start drinking it...lightly roasty sweet chocolate flavors and a weakly bitter finish...very very thin and watery...

Cask- Poured a pitch black with a massive light head, huge lacing on the glass. Big nitro cascades within the body lend a deep brown aura. Aroma is very smooth and strong. Nutty, bready, and coffee notes are intertwined with sweet dark chocolate and a minor tobacco note. Flavor is very dry, almost no sweetness to speak for. Roasted coffee and unsweetened chcolate dominate, with a bit of hop "pepper" notes, and a very, very faint alcohol note, followed by a grassy dry finish. Exceptional.

Black with a nice tan head. Strong roast with a slight hop aroma. The flavor is quit roasted with some good coffee and a bit of a twang. Light body with a dry finish. Good beer.
