Bottle conditioned, 500ml. Orange amber with white head, short. Sweetish malty beer, some roasty notes with a slight spicy background. Seems a little all over the place as though its not sure of what it wants to be, which is probably a Belgian strong ale. Its ok, without getting great.

Bottle. Very inviting aroma opening but after that it was all downhill.Quite acidic with a bitterness I didn’t enjoy. Also found a mushroom sized piece of sediment floating around the bottle. Not a pleasant experience drinking this one.

Cask at College Inn (JDW), Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Orange-amber with a white head. Sweet blackcurrant fruit aroma. Melon and honey taste with a hint of alcohol. Strong bitter finish. This was unusual and thus rather appealed to me.

Cask at the Swan in the Rushes, Loughborough. Copper coloured with a very slim head. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet malty and then stragely medicinal taste. Full bodied. Didn’t enjoy it.
