Amber golden cloudy with a medium sized head that was quickly discipating. Later looking kind of flat. Nose was sweet with sugars and just a hint of summer fruit skins. Taste a bit more spicy with more caramel and cream. Pretty good, not so much more belgian ish but more German infiuence here. Ughsmash (4042), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Poured a medium, ruby-tinted caramel with about zero head sticking around. Aroma was way on the lighter side.. sweet light fruits and toffee with a bit of clove coming through.. shame that this wasn’t more pronounced. Flavor picked up sweet light fruits, toffee, and caramel with pepper and clovey spices at the back-end.. definitely drinkable, but not great. Smooth feel on the palate throughout with nice balance between the fruity sweetness and the spices. OK. Dogbrick (2864), Columbus, Ohio, USA

Stringy lacing. The aroma is mostly yeast with some spice and citrus. Light, crisp body with tart fruit and spice flavors predominantly, followed by touches of hops and grainy malt. The finish is more on the sweet side and leaves a spiced aftertaste. Very drinkable summer fare. vyvvy (2059), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2006 On tap at brewpub. Lightly hazy bronze with a minimal tan head. Aroma is barely there as there was almost no head, I did pick up a light bit of tart and yeast. Medium bodied beer with some prickly carbonation. The taste starts with tart fruit and spicy. The finish has the tartness of a weiss mixed with some citrus and pine hops that are fairly biting. As it warms the finish becomes more on the order of an ESB. It does not strike me to be much of a Belgium style beer, though still enjoyable. When I asked the bartender what made this a Belgium beer I was given a few vague generalizations and absolutely nothing specific - even after she asked the head brewmaster. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Dull ruby hue with white head. Yeasty nose, with strong banana and clove Hefe flavor. Slightly sour and tart. Little nuances of fruit. Dry and lingering sweetness.
