On tap at Square One. Poured clear (??) pale golden with a light ring of white head. Aroma was of toasty bananas with orange peel accents.. simple, but sweet and enticing.. pinches of white pepper and cloves as accents. Flavor was of sweet bananas and spicy, lightly tart wheat with increasing spicage as it progressed.. OK balance, but a bit skewed toward the spices at the end. Medium carbonation with an OK flow, but again the spices take over.

Sample at the brewpub: Pours a slightly hazed pale yellow-gold color with a thin white head that burns off pretty quickly. Minimal lacing on the glass. Spice and citrus in the nose. Light, crisp body with a spicy hops character. Some fruit and malt flavors are present as well. The finish is zesty citrus and spice and leaves a mild lingering bitterness. Pretty good all around.

Sampled from the brewpub. Hazy with a straw golden hue. Spotty white head. Mild nose but notes of cereal grains and citrus. Grainy with too much ginger. Not my thing!

Hazy yellow beer with nice sized head that goes away fairly quick. Aroma is sweet and citrusy - it also has a creamy quality and ginger is apparent. This wit uses ginger instead of coriander. The taste is different than a typical wit, the fruit and spice combination gives it a bit of a pineapple taste. There is some sharp citus taste and ginger. The ginger comes out strong on the finish. The body is light and crisp with light soft carbonation. Further down the glass some grapefruit comes in the mix. Nice lacing on the glass as well. While it is not what would be expected from a wit it is a nice take on the style.

tap-st louis microfest. cloudy light yellow with a small soapy white head. looks like your typical wit. aroma of sourness-very sour almost on lambic-like levels. notes of ginger, orange peal and light peppery spice. body is thin and soapy feeling. flavors are sour with some metallic notes. flavors are not what i would consider in most wits. i will have to go back to the brewery to try it again.
