Commercial Description:
Originally brewed in France, this ale's name translates as "keeping beer", as it was brewed in the winter and spring to last through the summer months. Ours is medium bodied, copper in color with light fruity esters and medium hop bitterness.

(draught) Golden amber. Fruity aroma. Flavor is fruity esters, malt, some hops finish. I didn’t think it was that far off the style.

Filtered with a bronze golden hue. Ring of off-white head. Fruity aromas with a bright hop nose and slight musty aromas. Medium bodied and perfumy. Peppery and spicy. Fruity with burnt toast nuances. Off set by the floral fruit flavors. Well crafted beer, but unlike others from the style.

Pours hazy brown with a light tan head. The aroma has nectar fruits that are in most Square One beers along with some lightly spicy hops and smooth toasted malt. Medium body that is fairly rich with some mellow carbonation. The flavor starts with the aroma traits and creaminess from the malt. The finish is quite spicy with some seeming to come from hops. There is also some nuttiness. The flavor starts getting a bit sour as it warms. This is an okay beer, but it far from being close to style in my opinion.
