Dec 27, 2008 Draft at the brewery, served in a shaker. SODP pours clear and brass-colored with little to no head. The aroma is very subtle with a touch of sweet grains. The body is slightly soft as a Pilsener should be but the hop bill is most un-Pilsener like. The finish is long and grainy.

Aug 4, 2007 Pour is a bright yellow ith a white head. Aroma is some swet pils malts nothing great. Flavor is again more of the sweet malts and not much in the way of hops. Nothing great. #1 of sampled at the brewpub.

Aug 4, 2007 Tasted 7/23/2007. From the brewpub. Filtered and deep golden hue. Skim white head. Mild nose. Good body and moderate palate. Thick yet smooth. Good light malts. Dry and sticky. Good mix between smooth and dry. Mild yet noticeable burn. Not too bad.

Jul 18, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Golden, but visually solid even with its little head. Stiff aroma of solid grainy malt. Robustly charactered, there’s a pile of alcoholy warming on top of a big malty base. Burns the belly. A big yellow beer ... nice! (#3021, 7/15/2007)

Jul 16, 2007 Pours a nice golden color with a white head. Very faint aroma, like Vyvvy said. The flavor is very sugary with way too much residual sugar. Finish is very earthy floral spicy hops. Not a great effort.

Jul 10, 2007 #1065, on tap at the brewery enjoyed with my Dad when he was in town visiting. Just a note. I LOOOOOVE the style and am always very excited to see when someone gives this a shot. Golden slightly hazy with a medium white head that hung around for a while. Nose is sweet, present with a big kick of sugar alcohol and hops. The taste has some seriuoous malts and alcohol, fresh crisp and clean. It sours later and warms to more of an IPA presence. NICE.

Jul 6, 2007 Pours clear golden with a bone white head. Very faint aroma, I’m only noticing a sweeter version of pils malt. The flavor starts rich and fruity with a light spice kick, some alcohol warmth and only a bit of the traditional pils traits from the malt. The finish has harsh spice and some hops that are more on the earthy / woody side that would be expected. The body is quite cloying. This tastes like the strongest abv beer I’ve had at Square One. An okay beer, but I like others from the brewery better.
