Ughsmash (2958), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 30, 2007 On tap at Square One. Poured black with a moderate cap of well-retained deep brown head.. left nice lacing as it descended.. lovely! Aroma was of rich, burnt dark malts with chocolate and a little licorice representin’.. dry with a bit of coffee present as well.. on the simple side, but enjoyable. Flavor was of very well-roasted and burnt dark fruity and chocolate malts with moderate bitterness riding off the sides.. tasty, but a bit sharp at the end. Medium-bodied with OK balance at best.. too roasty.. long bitter finish seemed out of place.
