Squatters Belly-up Bourbon Barrel Stout

On cask at Squatters SLC. Unfortunately our waitress didn’t seem to know anything about this brew except that it’s a ’’special beer that we don’t brew all the time.’’ Pours a nice dark brown/black with a lasting and lacing foamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, rosted malt, molasses and bourbon. Borbon comes through in the sweet chocolately flavor as well, but surprisingly the associated alcohol does not. It’s like essence of bourbon, instead of actual bourbon barrel aged. Still, not a bad brew. Full, creamy palate. Sweet roasty finish. Nice.
