rkuhnel (1144), Eureka, California, USA Jul 14, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle purchased in Sugarhouse ins Salt Lake City this poured a clear gold with nice white head and good lacing. Nose of light malts and citrus and floral hops, with a smooth clean mouthfeel. Good flavors with lots of hops. Finish is dry. Easy to drink.
WeeHeavySD (1867), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Sep 27, 2008 12oz that has been in the cellar way too long probably way past its prime. Pours orange with a tan head. Nose is eh. Taste is pretty eh. mmm///beer (578), Austin, Texas, USA Sep 13, 2008 12 oz. bottle in trade from Douglas88-thank you! Served in shaker- poured transparent very faint copper, 2mm head formed but went away a little too quickly from the medium carbonation of tiny bubbles, aroma of a light malt and very faint note of hops. Hits the mouth with a high-thin body, malt seems barley heavy with little adjunct which is always good, a little wheat in the middle, finish is crisp with some hops. Good flavor for a 4%er, and a beer with a cause- can you really hate it? DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA Aug 28, 2008 27-Mar-07 (12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) I realize that a 4% beer won’t have much body, but it can at least have good flavor. This is a sweet and very doughy golden ale with lots of cardboard. It’s only minimally hoppy in flavor or bitterness and only for an instant in the midpalate. Consequently, this beer quickly becomes stale and pasty on the palate. Likewise, the nose is only bready and cardboard with no hops aroma whatsoever. Hazy, pale golden in color. The beer pours with barely a filmy layer of head, and this quickly fades to a thin ring. This is just bad beer. unclemike (379), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA Aug 10, 2008 Pours a clear amber with a white head sweet aroma of fruits, hops and caramel. Very light flavour, no hops. Barely anything going on.
gws57 (995), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Jul 28, 2008 Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cloudy, dark orange pour with a mild nose of malt, wheaty, balanced maltiness but still pretty blah.
