Featured cask pint, McCools Pub in Layton. They told me it was "Squatters Cowboy Coffee Stout"; I assume this is the same beer. Black with a small, tries-to-last head. Aroma is coffee and cocoa. Flavor is initially the same, with some added char. But the flavor peters out halfway through due to the thin, watery body washing all the flavor away.

Very fresh right out of vat. Dark coffee pour with strong aroma. Great eggshell head. One of the best espresso stouts I have ever had. Prob because it was so fresh.

Nitro pint at the Brewpub. Pitch black with a wonderfully creamy 1/4-inch head of tan foam. Mocha aroma. Smooth and milky but a bit watery. Decent enough but doesn’t quite live up to the awesome visual and aroma. Almost chocolate milky. (#2790, 4/12/07)

The "ntiro tap" of my little sampler plate. Definite "bean" aroma, which is nice. Dark and herbal, true to the name of the beer. Unfortunately, the taste is not as exotic, and is more normal. There’s some roast and light licorice taste, but all other flavors are too vague. Creamy, but too light in taste to justify the texture. Roasty finish. I remember feeling this beer had potential to be good. So yeah, not bad, but not ENOUGH of the good stuff.

3.2% @ brewery, nitro. Dark color with thin head, weird for nitro, but oh well. The description reads "made with real coffee beans", wow, really? They put as much effort into the description as they did the beers they had online. Dry, light & watery.
