Cool label idea with the amish farmer with the oversized hop stabbed by a pitchfork. Copper body with a 2 finger head. Strong pine and grapefruit scents. Smooth finish on the palate. Very drinkable. Alcohol barely noticed. A good effort from Squatters.

I think they should make a douglas stout or something like that. Pours out a orange amber topped with a tan head. Aroma is of sweet caramel, rich malts, and floral hops. Taste much of the same sweetness and light hop bitterness. Not bad for a Utah beer. alexanderj (2263), Chino Hills, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 28, 2009 Bottle, from a Cost Plus beer pack. Poured a murky orange/amber color with a frothy off white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, orange, and earth/pine. Flavor was well balanced for the style and quite drinkable; dangerously so. Caramel up front and it fades to reveal some citrus and earthy hops. Not the most flavorful or hoppy for the style, but definitely one of the more drinkable. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Courtesy of douglas88. Pours copper with faint haze, off white head and some dandy sheet lacing. The aroma begins with a touch of grapefruit and then quickly slides into pine and then nearly tree sap with a sense of malt sweetness in the background. The taste begins with a short sweet malt pulse becoming citrus with grapefruit as well as growing pine hop bitterness. To midway and toward the finish both the grapefruit and pine like hop bitterness come to a zenith and then slide down to the finish leaving grapefruit and tangelo hop flavor with a bit of pine bitter hop zing hanging around deep into the after taste. Solid DIPA delivering an abundance of bitterness and some hop flavor, cheers! thirdeye11 (538), Texas, USA

Taste is caramel, oily body, and extremely well balanced between hops and malt. It’s a little syrupy, but overall a very good DIPA. Sparky27 (1596), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Nice hoppy nose, pine citrus and some melon notes. Medium bodied, lightly resiny, good carbonation. Juicey hop flavors with a mild malt backing. Dry finish and a lasting bite. Good stuff!
