Aroma is faint cereal and grass. Flavors of dry cereal, a touch of honey, and some drying bitter-herb hops on the finish. Palate is light-medium bodied, tingly and has a dry crisp finish. Excellent example of the style and a pleasant surprise. DrnkMcDermott (1861), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 7, 2008 12 oz. undated bottle, from January trade with <a href=http://ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=58936 And poured into a Sam Adams glass. I’m celebrating the 75th anniversary of the return of 3.2% beer with a 3.2 beer (by weight, the way Utah still regulates it). Despite the brown bottle, a slight bit of oxidation. But pours nice, with a slight gold pils color and a thin stream of bubbles supporting a thin lager head. Taste suggests it’s mostly-, maybe all-, grain, with slightly toasty Pils malts. Don’t know what they consider "highly hopped," but this ain’t quite it. But there is a nice peppery note of Bavarian hops, even a touch of Brit. A nice example of a style that needs little alteration to stay suited for a 3.2 state. And let’s appreciate their tip o’the bowler to the 3 Stooges with the pictures of panthers on either side of the word "Pilsner" on the label. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

Mellow malt, slightly sweet. Not too much of a palate. Decent Pilsener, kind
of light.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 5, 2006 Bottle. Very light yellow with a small head. Nose of citrus and light hops. Did not seem highly hopped to me. Flavor was like a light German Pils. Slightly bitter finish. OK brew; douglas88 (1659), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light gold with a decent frothy head. The aroma is mostly bready and some malts. The taste is your basic pilsner; some malts, a bready/grainy quality, some sweet honey perhaps. Nothing special, but drinkable. Plus Provo Girl is hot.
