| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2007 Provo Girl is the same color as a macro. It is nicely sparkling with microscope lens clarity. The head leaves lacing above the beer as it diminishes to a white film. The fruity wooden hops in the aroma are great but soft. The malt aroma lacks character and is starchy. The body is medium light. It thins at it progresses. It is very soft and waxy like a melted milkshake. The mouth feel vanishes before the flavor ends. This tastes stronger than 4.0% ABV. It’s quite bitter. The hops provide all of the flavor. The aftertaste is bitter and peaty and lasts for a long time. Perhaps clumsily simple, but quite bold. This is barfighting beer. Personally I’ll go for something even more crisp and with a sharper hop bite in the finish, but this was pretty clean and totally tolerable.
Thanks to my gf’s sister for being so kind as to bring a mixed 6pk back. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 10, 2005 Very clear, pale straw body with mild carbonation and a fading, sudsy white head. Aroma has notes suggesting pineapple, melon, light pepper, and lightly sweet cereal. Initial sweet cereal notes in the flavor lead into a very dry, bitter, and peppery finish. A solid, spicy, German-style pilsner.
