But for some reason I decided to give er a try and was not disspaointed. Not a sweet or sour beer by any means, there is a pleasant berry tartness that really quenches a thirst. Also, impressive deep red colour with short lasting head...mild berry aroma. Overpriced but a winner nonetheless. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

Aroma is strong but pleasant raspberry. Smooth feel with a tart berry finish. The best fruit beer I’ve had to date. beergut111 (210), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Murky dark copper-red with a small off-white cap...aromas of ripe berry fruit over the distinctive aromas of a dark ale....earthy-toasty-malty
Tastes pretty much like it smells. Richer ale base than any fruit beer I have encountered... intersting fruity-eartyiness with the toasty malts...nice dry tart finish with a metallic twang in the after taste.
Decent enough but over hyped and not worth 4 bucks a bottle. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Bottle from the LCBO in fancy and expensive packaging. I poured it into a champagne flute because I was feeling pretentious, and it looked fantastic! Rocky white head and a cloudy dark pink body underneath. The aroma definitely contained raspberries, but I also thought I smelled blackberries. Either way, it was exceedingly fresh. Thick raspberry taste, married to a light carbonated body. I imagine that this is very much a summer beer because of its freshness, and lack of complexity. A good thirst quencher and a good beer. Boutip (2350), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Aug 15, 2006 Bottle: Poured a deep red ale with a medium bubbly slightly pink head with average retention. Aroma of real raspberry is pretty enticing while not being overly sweet. Taste is quite interesting with some real raspberry presence that is noticeable with some sweetness but not overly or disgustingly sweet. Malt presence is a bit low and bodies a tad too watery for my own liking. Lacks some complexity to make this truly wonderful but very good try nonetheless. Poperinge (359), Cowtown, Alberta, Canada
