rasears (4), Canada does not count Sep 29, 2007 My favorite of my favorite style. An extremely smooth and well-balanced oatmeal stout with a little less viscosity and a bit more carbonation than most making it easier to drink. JChapmanMTL (15), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 29, 2007 Updated: Oct 17, 2007341mL bottle. Black colour, light brown head. Light and sweet aroma. Very smooth and creamy with flavours of chocolate, coffee, and oats. Excellent stout, one of my regulars. oh6gdx (8795), Vasa, Finland Sep 29, 2007 Bottled@SBWF2007. Almost opaque black small expresso head. Light roasted aroma with some lactose in it. Roasted, a bit hoppy, coffeish. Finish is average, but this is really pleasant oat meal stout. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Sep 23, 2007 (Stockholm Beer Festival 2007) Bottle. Black, creamy brown head. Malty, vinous chocolate aroma. Chocolate flavor, vinous, some tar and vinegar. Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Sep 23, 2007 (Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 21 Sep 2007) Black colour with brown hints, brief frothy brown head. Roasted nose with slightly sweetish chocolate notes, liquorice and soy sauce. Roasted taste with chocolate, roasted oat flakes, hints of smoke and a nice citrussy bitterness in a fairly dry finish. A little prickly on the tongue. Very well balanced, very nice. Bobsy (194), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 21, 2007 Updated: Oct 18, 2007I’ve had this before, but this rating is based on a pint my wife ordered at Beerbistro tonight. Nice dark body, with a thick tan head. You can’t get any more classical in appearance for this style. Smells of roasted malts and caramel. Chocolate and coffee tones in the flavour, compliment the malts. A very smooth drink, and highly recommended. SoLan (1369), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 20, 2007 Courtesy mgumby10. Dark brown/black with a small, off white head. Roasty malt, dark chocolate, subtle licorice and coffee. Very nice, not very complex. Medium body, balanced carbonation, soft. Solid, but a bit overrated.
