Commercial Description:
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

Beautiful blackness with a nice solid head. Chocolate and coffee aroma with a surprisingly grunty and complex taste (coffee, chocolate, roast malt, with a hint of rum’n’raisin) and a solid hop bite. almost chunky mouthfeel. Like a meal in a glass. Nice one!

THanks Santa! this is a damn good beer. pours deep brown, leaves some nice lace on the glass from its tan head. very smooth. a nice bitter finish. espresso, chocolate, cherry, nutty aroma. A beer you want to drink again. chewy mouthfeel. This beer is legit.

This my friends is the very reason the Gods have put me on this earth(sorry Nat, its true). What cant I say about this fantasticaly dark stout! The body is thicker than demi, and the colour is as dark as an empty universe. The head is a rich-espresso colour. The smell and flavours are rich-chocolate and espresso. With the perfect bitterness, this beer is not only Canada’s best, but possibly the world’s. I highly recommend this to everybody, all ages!

Oozing and sticky like a black tar. Nice aroma and good legs. An excellent version of a stout (almost not a stout but something in a category of its on).

341ml bottle. Tar black in colour with an inviting tan head of foam that crackles. Aromas of coffee and chocolate waft into the nose. Strong burnt flavour that sits in the mouth long after the drink is gone. Another good offering from St Ambroise.

12 oz. bottle. Pours almost black with slight ruby highlights and a creamy tan head. Roasted malt, smoke, coffee, chocolate, and a very slight vinous note. Very complex nose. Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel. The palate closely follows the nose. Lots of roasted malt, a slight burnt note, a little mineral, and a bit of dark brown sugar. Medium-long finish with some lingering bitterness. Overall a decent if mild oatmeal stout.

A great looking beer. but you can taste the alcohal in it. Strong roast malt flavour then strong alcohal aftertaste. Great aroma. a good transition beer from coffee to beer on one of those days.
