Commercial Description:
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

Heavy chocolate aroma. Black, brown creamy head, very nice lace. Full, light sweet, chocolate, coffee, roasted. Long light sweet and roasted finish. What a beer!

Black, tan thick head with good sticky lacing. The aroma is very roasty and toasty with some alcohol notes and herbal hop fruit. The flavor is so smooth and mellow with the oatmeal along with tons of chocolate and coffee roasted mocha. Nice Oatmeat stout, this is good! Thanks Sham & David!

Bottle from shigadeyo. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid roasted coffee and chocolate malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good, but my expectations where not met.

Bottle. Pours a black color with an off-white head. Sweet roasted malty aroma with hints of chocolate and coffee. Sweet malty roasted coffee flavor with some hints of chocolate. Sweet roasted malty finish with a long aftertaste with lots of coffee.

Bottled - Smokeless Joes Toronto. Aroma has some roastiness but is not particularly pronounced. The colour is a fantastic black with a good head. The flavour also has some roasty notes but not enough for me for a stout. I was suprised to see it is a top 50 beer as I found it quite thin.

Huge thanks to tiggmtl for this one. Pours obsidian with two-finger, dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocoff, slight smoked ham. Tastes roasty-malty, with chocoff, oats, and a definite rauchy element combined with some merlot. Complex, firm mouthfeel and very well balanced. I have no problem at all with this being a top 50/100 beer. I prefer Impy stouts, but the excellence of this one cannot be denied.

Black with a lasting light brown head. Caramel, brown sugar, a little spice and lightly smoked aroma. Sweet and quite full bodied.

Opaque black ale with a nice moika head. Nice chocolate nose with coca-cola like qualities. Good roasted coffee beans with some nuts and bitter choclate, and a nice hadful of hops. Body is good but less dense than in previous years. Come on MacAuslan brewers, don't destroy a wonderful things
