The nose in on strong espresso coffee and molasses. Flavors of coffee, cocoa powder and toffee, but hops still manage to show up. Long finish on toffee... Wow, this is truly a good stout! Incorporated within the flavor are hints of chocolate and coffee. It is a nicely ballanced beer, none of the flavors are too overwhelming. Quite tasty! maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Since I didn’t have breakfast this morning I thought an Oatmeal stout would be a great first beer of a long session. Pours black with a beautiful half inch tan head. Aromas of coffee, molasses, vanilla and cocoa. The flavor is a tremendous blend of all of the things that I picked up in the aroma. Very smooth and creamy on the palate and just the right consistancy maybe from the oatmeal to coat your mouth and make it a smooth drinker. A very good beer and a nice choice for number 200! doublebock (197), USA

Strong coffee taste, a bit of chocolate also. Very dark and rich. One word to describe it: “gorgeous”.
Dec 21-2005 This time I had it on draught. Simply the most beautiful, rich, thick, creamy, (like a meringue) head and very, very…. long lasting. Outstanding.
