May 20, 2005 Thanks to Boutip for this beer from an exellent trade. The appearance is black with a nice soft light brown head. The aroma is molases, chocolate and vanilla, quite wonderful. Flavor rich, smooth and roasty. The mouthfeel even gets your attention with a condiserable hope presense. Smooth, sweet, rich, hoppy, very well balanced stout all around.

Oct 7, 2003 Poured an opaque brown color with a nice tan head that left a good amount of lacing on the glass. Had an aroma of chocolate and coffee. It had a sweet dry taste of chocolate and oatmeal. Dry finish. Rather thin mouthfeel, I was expecting alittle more out of this brew after reading the reviews. Still I am glad to have tried it, thanks Rastacouere!

Mar 18, 2005 On tap at the Bow&Arrow. I’ve always liked this beer but had it for the first time last night on tap and it the experience was way better than I remember. To call this beer dark is an enormous understatement. Completely opaque with a thick foam head. Aroma is of roasted hazelnuts, burnt malt, bitter chocolate and a hint of espresso. Flavour profile is similar except the chocolate totally overwhelms the espresso to start but lingers through the aftertaste. Nice bitterness and full mouthfeel. You really have to let this one sit for a good 15-20 minutes after it’s poured to get maximum enjoyment. Cheers!

Jan 16, 2004 Pours dark black in my glass with a milk chocolate coloured head. Aromas or chocolate, coffee, toasty malts. Medium mouthfeel but huge flavours of chocolate, malts ,coffee some oatmeal. I consider myself lucky to have this readily available at my liquor store

Apr 30, 2004 This has to be one of my favorite beers! Fantastic and delicious. This stout is a winner!
