Commercial Description:
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

Re-Rate 06/06/02: Deep brown to black in color, large frothy chocolate head, great sheets of lace. Nose is toasted grains, coffee, chocolate, earhty and quite pleasant. Sweet at the front, full at the top, the finish is lightly carbonated, dry, nicely hopped and quite a good ’Stout’.

Smooth, a little bitter, did not sense any sweetness though. A nice stout.

A very nice rich and complex stout. Taste of smoke and chocolate, deep black colour and intense finish.

Dark beer out of the bottle with a frothy brown head. Dark malty nose with hints of chocolate and licorice. Pours very thick and leaves great lace. Very smooth mouthfeel that coats the mouth in a very pleasing way. Chocolate with a strong malty sweetness balanced well by the coffee bitterness. Great sipping beer. Thanks a ton to my Secret Santa for this one.

Had this on tap. Dark and sweet. Very good. Roasted and chocolate flavors. For $4 I’ll have another.

Thanks to Boutip for this beer from an exellent trade. The appearance is black with a nice soft light brown head. The aroma is molases, chocolate and vanilla, quite wonderful. Flavor rich, smooth and roasty. The mouthfeel even gets your attention with a condiserable hope presense. Smooth, sweet, rich, hoppy, very well balanced stout all around.
