The roasted, smoky flavors were very strong at first, but it blended nicely to be a good all-purpose stout. Nice long finish, more dry than I expected. Excellent stuff. Nice brown foam, but I wish it had hung around. Smells of coffee, oatmeal, and dark roast malts are very nice. First taste is thick. A sweet bitterness fades into a heavy coffee aftertaste. Carbonation is low. Taste gets better after each drink. Beer Snob (382), Ontario, Canada

Nice mild bitterness with a hint of coffee and a nice maltiness. Bitter without being overpowering. You’d be hard pressed to find a better all-around stout. pineypower (1104), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA

The smell is actually quite mild. Some sweetness, roastiness, and light chcocolate seem to show up just enough to make an impact on my nose. Very creamy and roasty first off. Just a touch of some hopiness to it somewhat balances it out quite nicely. i’m not really getting a ton of oatmeal, which came as a bit of a surprise. Very nice for # 400 for me. Smell is big on roast, coffee, cocoa an minor hop. Taste is oatmeal, bakers chocolate, coffee grinds and a bitter hop finish. Silky smooth and a little thin in the mouth. Insane drinkability, packed with awesome stout flavor but still light in the stomach. Seek this one out.
