The color is orange-red and the head is huge and nice. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and candy sugar. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, candy sugar, fruit and a bit of caramel. It’s monotonous and far from what I expect from a triple. cellar (386), Dublin, Ireland Jul 3, 2008 Thx for a grand tasting, Chris_o :) Cloudy, ligth brown, strong notes of malt, toffee, dried fruti ,and cellar, sweet, lack of finish, unbalanced. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Jun 8, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s laid back Friday night tasting. Light amber with a thin tan head. Fierce alcohol in the aroma, rather oxidised and I’m guessing this is pretty old. Oxidised caramel flavour, now I know this is definitely old. The hops are all but gone. Thankfully the alcohol is not as over the top as the aroma but it’s still there. Due to the age this is not really a tripel anymore. Lunkie (1006), Glen Iris, Australia May 31, 2008 Fruit hop malt aroma. Red amber colour with suspended bits and good head and lacing. Malt hop flavour with sharp aftertaste. Smooth palate.
