Bought at the Cracked Kettle. Looking forward to cracking this one for awhile. Dark brown colour with head that just kept on pouring. Taste of plums, really spicy and sweet. Dark fruits. Warm and smooth finish. Improves as warms up.

[Odense-tasting at Scheffel. Bottle from the wolf.] Brown look and small fast off-white head. Notes of alcohol, brown sugar, mixed yeast, dryfruits and spices. A nice warming beer for winternights.

Cloudy dark brown hue, with a fluffy beige head, leaving laces, intense trappist yeast nose, with some toasted, caramelized malt and cookie dough notes, with some dark dried fruity accents of plums, dates, raisins and figs, with some nutmeg spiciness, some brown sugar, with a faint black cghocolatey aroma follows through on a full-bodied palate with a yeasty, toasted, caramelized malt character, with some chocolatey, cookie dough, fruity flavors of plums, dates, raisins and figs, with a spicy nutmeg accent, with a sweet brown sugar, mellow alcoholic mouthfeel, leading towards a malty, fruity, warmth, faint floral hop bitterness finish.

Striking fruity aroma with a just barely detectable pleasant sourness. Flavors are complex but in no way aggressive, extremely drinkable.

750ml bottle. Aroma: Huge fruitiness in the nose. Raisins, figs, and cherries dominate but a very light citrus note peeks out. Brown sugar, toasted malt, alcohol, and bready yeast. Appearance: Deep reddish brown in color and murky. Light khaki head was full and creamy with great retention. Great lacing. Flavor: Very rich maltiness with notes of brown sugar, anise, toasted nuts. Figs, raisins, cherries, and a light chocolate note. Alcohol is present but unobtrusive. Medium dry finish. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Light alcohol warmth over back of tongue. Overall: This was really good, but I think regular Abt 12 might be a touch better. Maybe.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Murky dark brown with a medium, creamy and tanned head. Very nutty-malty, rye-puddingy aroma with yeast and some alcohol. Rye-puddingy, nutty and anise-spicy, very malty flavor matches the aroma well. Alcohol is actually quite well hidden considering the high ABV. Quite full-bodied, smooth and creamy palate with a bit foamy carbonation. I liked this better than the regular version. It has more body and maltiness, while feeling less alcoholic despite the higher ABV. Not that complex, but nice - and even nicer and smoother as it warms up.
