Then when the beer is bad they don’t bother. I am new to Belgium beers but this makes me an instant fan. I love it but......I really want to mix it with a barley wine and see what I get. I want to make it a little more manly. Very very soft beer. With the sweetness and the subdued alcohol women will love this. I love the raisin presence.

The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass.
The beer has a thick dark brown color and a candy sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppybitter with a candy touch. This beer smells light alcoholiclly. ttutony (55), Texas, USA

Bitter fruit/raisin taste with a noticeable amount of alcohol. Medium body with sticky texture and soft carbonation. The beer finishes with almost a sour taste. Overall very good in small doses, almost too sweet for me to have more than one. wekker84 (34), etten-leur, Netherlands

Pours a slightly hazy deep brown with a huge off white head that slowly dissipates to a cap as it sticks itself all over my glass. Smells of dark fruits raisins prunes fig come to mind. Also has a sweet dark sugar and molasses aroma as well. Carbonation is high, mouthfeel is full and sticky sweet, body is thick. I liked this one, but I thought the alcohol was a little to present. floydian1 (282), FNQ, Australia

A muddy deep brown beer with a medium collar of beige foam that provides decent lacing. Complex aromas of vanilla, Black Forest gateau (ie chocolate, cherries, sugar), banana peel, spicy yeasts and alcohol. Palate is rich and chewy with a chocolaty sweet malt base and hints of nuts and liqourice before finishing with a gentle spicy alcoholic presence. Definitely one to sip and savour. An outstanding beer. TheDoctor (50), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
