Commercial Description:
Unique Belgian beer, top fermented and with bottle conditioning. This Easterbeer is a balanced equilibrium between sweet and bitter, between body and freshness. It has a malty and fruity nose with a thick, round froth. It is brewed in the rich tradition of the St. Bernardus Brewery, using only the very best malts, hops, and sugars. Our own yeast and the specific water of the brewery give our beers depth and strength. This Easterbeer lives up to our credo: St. Bernardus, bringing heavenly nectar within reach.

courtesy of Papsoe - cloudy ruby-brown colour, big foam beige head; yeasty with solid banana notes; robust malt body, some sweetness with a chewy fruity and somehow soapy finish - I’m definitely not a big fan of this brewery

(Bottle) Pours dark brown. Spices, yeast and some herbs in aroma. Also tones of fruits, mostly pears, and some floral notes. Milk chocolate and almond is also present. Quite creamy nose. Spicy, yeasty flavour with tones of fruits, earth and chocolate. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Medium body.

75 cl Bottle. Dark brown colour, low white head. Hns food and candi sugar in aroma. Lots of candi, which also dominates the flavour - it gets a bit too much of it. Other flavour sensations are barely noticed behind the sticky sweetness.

75 cl bottle. Amber color, offwhite head. Malty, grassy aroma, some vinous notes, fruity, apricot notes, bready and a bit yeasty. Hoppy flavor at first, fruity, some apple, some apricot, marcipan and apricot notes. I like this...

Bottled. Dark red-brown with a bubbly off-white head. Vinous aroma. Grassy, yeasty and malty in flavour. Nice fruitiness from sweet, dried fruits and some licorice. Not as good as I hoped for.

Bottle, 75 cl. Hazy ruby copper with medium fluffy head. Roasted malt, yeast, wood and spices mixes well. Medium bodied and soft CO2. Nicely balanced, the initial sweetness gives way for a long and dry finish.

Bottle... RBSG 07... Hazy, light golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Herbal nose with lots of crushed grain and even a hint of lavender. Well-bittered, herbal flavor, but fairly thin... more lavender. Medium-bodied and acerbic with medium carbonation. Lengthy, bitter finish. Kudos to boboski for cracking open this bottle!
