Commercial Description:
Unique Belgian beer, top fermented and with bottle conditioning. This Easterbeer is a balanced equilibrium between sweet and bitter, between body and freshness. It has a malty and fruity nose with a thick, round froth. It is brewed in the rich tradition of the St. Bernardus Brewery, using only the very best malts, hops, and sugars. Our own yeast and the specific water of the brewery give our beers depth and strength. This Easterbeer lives up to our credo: St. Bernardus, bringing heavenly nectar within reach.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Dense light brown head. Liqourice, caramel, sweet and fruits in the aroma. Has light spicy notes. Flavour of light yeast, spice, light cocoa, ripe fruits and liqourice. Is medium bodied. Grapish and caramelly in the end. Nice one.

Big bottle. Had it with a great dinner. Pours a nice deep amber with a big mostly diminishing off-white head. Aroma of sweet toasty malt, fruit, caramel, yeast and spices. Flavour of caramel, toasted malt, yeast, fruity hops, spices, raisins and some alcohol.

Bottle. Nice large beige head that mostly lasted. Good lacing in glass. Color was clear amber. Aroma was very fruity, yeast with other notes of spicy, caramel. Some of the classic St. Bernardus can be detected. Full bodied with a light alcoholic texture and an average carbonation. Flavor was moderated sweet with some bitter-alcoholic notes to balance it. Nice lingering sweet finish. Not the best St. Bernardus, but drinkable.

Nice deep amber with a dense white head. Very yeasty/fruity aroma with notes of sweet alchohol and spices. Has the texture of a wheat beer with a pretty complex flavor which activates all taste buds, but with a mainly bitter finish. Quite warming brew

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a big foamy head that is slightly off white. Splendid aroma - very fresh. Grass, roses, thyme, caramel and other herbs. Oily and round mouthfeel. Taste is slightly vinious, based on caramel. Elderberries, yeast, herbs, oak, toffee and dry flowery hops at the end. Stunning.
