Commercial Description:
Unique Belgian beer, top fermented and with bottle conditioning. This Easterbeer is a balanced equilibrium between sweet and bitter, between body and freshness. It has a malty and fruity nose with a thick, round froth. It is brewed in the rich tradition of the St. Bernardus Brewery, using only the very best malts, hops, and sugars. Our own yeast and the specific water of the brewery give our beers depth and strength. This Easterbeer lives up to our credo: St. Bernardus, bringing heavenly nectar within reach.

Dark orange color, unclear. Has an off-white head, big and lasting. Lots of esters, fruit in the aroma. Yeasty flavor. Sweet. Lasting palate. Oily.

Big head, amber brownish color. Aroma and taste of fruits, orange, ginger and spices. Another great beer from this brewery. And it´s NOT retired. In danish shops from week 9.

Bottle. Default belgian ale. That is, malty, fruity, yeasty. Fresh taste, easy drinkable.

Had expected some more, but thisone tastes of the yeast you sometimes can recognize a beer with.

Very huge head, just off-white and very tenacious over hazy dark-amber beer. Chocolate & ambrée malts impression, yeasty esters, bit of sucade, and strangely, fresh malt (beer is not young). Esters are both fruity and meaty, as in in charcuterie. Again this estery-fruity flavour, with orangezeste and, again chocolate. Pimms’ cake? Cake is true, as there seems to be a bit of mineral retronasal. As well as gingery spicyness. I’m really wondering about the chocolate flavour, as it keeps coming back warming up. Slightly burning MF. Full bodied, if not like a 12°. Creamy texture, but the (shaken) yeast might be helping. Alcoholwarming (fusels?). Good balance. Very fruity and sweet. But as a sipping beer, this is quite agreable. Many thanks to Marco from the brewery, for one of the last bottles in stock.

Bottle. Frothy whitebgood mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Heavy malty and hoppy aroma. Nice flavor, average finish, oily palate, but not convincing.

Bottle, kindly provided by henrikb. Light hazy amber brown, creamy lacing amber head. Light spicy and dry aroma, slight horseblanket. Medium to light body. Spicy base flavor - heather honey, koriander, minerals, light roast. Relatively light body. Dry edgy finish.
