Bottle. Murky brown pour with a fantastic, fluffy and lacing stable tan head. Smells sweet, spicy, yeasty, and fruity, a little orange peel with the malt. Rich, sweet and very spicy flavor, malty and only a tad warming. Also a tad too thin. A touch of wood with that delicious spiciness. Medium-dry. Very pleasant and extremely easy to drink, but needs more concentration and flavor.

Went backwards drinking this after the abt 12, first thing I noticed was it has a higher carbonation, less alcohol and not nearly as complex, Amber in color, hints of caramel and candy, creamy with a long aftertaste.

Very dark brown; preposterously huge, brown head, fast dwindling. Chocolate malt, mintsoap, touch woody in the nose. Sharp woody flavour to start with, then soft sweet malt comes adrift under a sharper roasted profile. Still some chocolate. Rather flat, dead mouthfeel, it’s as if the beer’s tired. Shame, because quite OK so far. Not thin, however. Not bad overall, but its bigger brothers are way more interesting.

Pours cloudy brown with a thin white head. Notes of banana, almond, plums, and honey. A little bite in the finish. Good beer.

Bottle. Off-white lasting head. Hazy dark amber body. Fruity honey caramel aroma. Sweet caramel flavor with almost no bitterness.

Great. I like everything this brewer makes. Great Abbey ales with loads of good flavor. I may have liked the Abt 12 and Prior 8 a little more, but it’s so hard to judge. They all have great qualities.

(Bottle) I agree with Poperinge, the Pater 6 somewhat seems like a watery Abt 12. This isn’t a bad thing though, as the Pater 6 is still quite tasteful and delicious.<!-- /br -->The beer pours cloudy brown with offwhite creamy head. Notes of honey, spicy herbs, figs, molasse & hops combine to perfection and actually makes this beer very enjoyable!
