| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 6, 2009 Enjoyed via 12oz bottle. Pours slightly darker than the 6, but certainly not jet black. Head is fluffy and slightly off-white. The palate and aroma are both unbelievably rich with characteristic maltiness. The flavor is simply outstanding. A must for any lover of fine Belgian examples. thejon375 (392), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2009 Nice to have this on tap, super tastey: Poured a dark reddish brown colour, more mahogany i supposed. Medium creamy tan head. Nutty, caramel, maple syrup notes immediately- i noticed it more because i dove in rather than sniffing around. Afterwards, i noticed that plum fruit on the nose- a little over-ripe door county cherries too. Something tart. Nice beer! jumpjet2k (147), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2009 330ml bottle in the St. Bernardus glass. Plum/brown color with a small tan head. Aroma of figs, apples, cinnamon, spices. Flavor and mouthfeel are two-tiered - a sharp carbonation on top carries the spiciness, but the smooth maltiness rests below. Interesting beer. finol (499), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden
