Smells of yeast, spices, over ripe fruit, and all sorts of Belgian goodness. Taste is much the same with a bit of a metallic after taste that really throws it off. Maybe my glass is not clean enough. A good brew, not their best. petzdrgonizbk (24), Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2009 A nice dark beer with a creamy tan head. There is a hint of fruits in the aroma. LilBeerDoctor (1531), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2009 Bottle. Pours a murky brown with a light tan head. Aroma of delicious dark and light fruits (apple, pear, fig, sweet molasses). Flavor is quite similar with lots of sweet fruits, sweet malt, and yeast. Not quite as luscious a mouthfeel as Abt 12, but pretty close actually. Nice BSA.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2009 9 months old Prior. The paper on the bottle cant stand moist. It powdered away. Cheap paper. Silicone spray before storing would perhaps help.
It sips a mouthful taste, not as sticky as expected with the given amount of sweetness it brings. Alcolhol is far away. Fullness and rich taste takes its rightful place in its palate. The bitters seem to be fading away faster. They make place for a refreshing slightly sour aftertaste. Nice. An overt feast until the last drop.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a deep and slightly cloudy brown. Two finger tan head. Bready, yeasty nose. Taste is sweet, fruity, malty and smooth. I enjoyed this beer very much, will drink again! austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2009 Murky reddish brown, coarse & foamy light beige head. Alcoholic, faint pear, candi sugar, rye bread and herbs aroma. Balanced dark sugary and herbal flavor, berry wine, liquorice, yeast, little cellar and strong alcohol. Medium bodied palate with huge amounts of carbonation. Pretty nice Belgian strong, nothing that distinct nor interesting. hillfiiiiire (286), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Dark copper color with a nice large bubbly head. Aroma is nice raisin fruit aroma with yeasty dough that I really like in the belgian style. The flavor is a little more miss though. The spice in it seems to really take over for me and kind kills a bit of the fruity maltiness. Nice body and mouthfeel. Finishes nicely. crowderm (285), Recklinghausen, Germany
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2009 Reddish brown pour with a huge tan head. Aroma of a sweet fruits and bread. The bread takes over in the flavor. Some nice fruity/nutty notes remain, but the bready malt character dominates. Pretty good mouthfeel. Pretty good brew.
