Apr 4, 2008 A little hazy, brown colored beer, with a very nice beige foamed head. It stays for a time. An aroma of caramel, brown sugar, malt an a little mild chocolate. The taste has some toffee/caramel, malty and touches of chocolate. A more than very enjoyable beer.

Apr 2, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Pours a cloudy brown with a medium off-white head and a caramelly and a bit spicey aroma. The flavor is sweet and dominated bij caramel and brown sugar. Some raisin ripe grapes, honey toffee too. Nice one, but not as good as the 12

Mar 31, 2008 Bottle. Pours hazy red/brown with a beige heads that stays will the last sip. Aroma is primarily ripe fruit, berry, plum and apricot. Also notes of yeast, caramel, and vanilla. Medium body. Fruity flavor, notes of plum, berry, apricot, and raisin, as well as yeast, caramel and loganberry. Very good, but a little short of the 12 in all aspects. Nonetheless, very complex and well put together. This is something I could drink every night.

Mar 31, 2008 11.2oz from chalice. pours very similiar color to pater 6, perhaps with a touch of cola thrown in. nose has more booze to it then the pater did, palate reveals some unexpected spice. very clean finish, even mouthfeel disappears almost immediately. this provides its own unique characteristics, provisions and advantages to pater 6, very well put together.

Mar 28, 2008 Bottle, pours muddy brown. Nose offers a splendid bouquet of honey, dates, figs, raisins, hint of brown sugar thrown in. Smooth palate, quaffable. Clean, exceptionally smooth. Spice and peppery, dry finish. Exceptional.

Mar 25, 2008 Bottled. Very fine, perfumy, chocolatey aroma with both spicyness and alcohol. Not too strong in taste initially, tastes prunes. Quite alcoholic and surprisingly sour.

Mar 23, 2008 Updated: Jan 25, 2009(Sample from August 25, 2006 Beer Club Meeting; On draft at Draught House on March 23, 2008) Served in St Bernardus trappist glass for full effect. Short but very frothy head that diminished quickly. Nice lacing. A beautiful dark and murky brown-ruby body. Smells of molasses and caramel, light hops. Thick and smooth... malty sweet and yummy. Flavor hangs out with some alcohol on your tongue for a while. No need to rush a drink like this. The Belgians really know how to brew a good beer. Sarah’s take: "It’s goood."
