All the flavours are nicely balanced, but the dry taste in combination with the mouldy yeast of St.B makes this hard for me to swallow. Lots of fruity flavours and aroma’s, some spices. Dry mouthfeel. Skeegle (503), Maryland, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Very sweet and spicy, with a very powerful malty backbone. I really liked that there was that authentic belgian yeastiness but there was also a complimenting sourness and sweetness to chalk up the complexity of this beer. Really very good.

Thin white head with decent retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet fruit (cherries) and yeast. Alcohol is noticeable in the aroma, but less so in the taste. Flavor is fruity, with some citrus, and lots of honey and caramel sweetness. Nice clean finish. beerbill (1985), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jul 27, 2008 11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy antique gold with a moderate white head that faded to an uneven film after about two-thirds of the glass and left a coating of foam after each sip. Surprisingly light aroma with a few whiffs of malt, yeast and some fruit. Much more flavorful than the aroma suggests with rich malt, caramel, fruit and yeast. Lovely, light silky mouthfeel. No hint of the 8% abv. Very nice! robforbes (1114), Bremerton, Washington, USA
