Commercial Description:
This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

A pop of the cork, and it’s pale yellow with a very thin white head, lots of bubbles and inches of lacing. Aroma is appley sweet with cloves. Taste is way drier than the aroma would suggest, and has a metallic hop finish. Other than that, there is not much to it. Somewhat disappointing from one of my favorite breweries. $8/22oz

The body is a light straw color with a quickly fleeting white head. Has a very yeast filled aroma with a little bit of spice and noble hops aroma- from the saaz. The flavor has a little bit of bubblegum taste with a nice bit of sweetness- like honey on the end.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange and with fine yeast sediments floating around, has a lasting off-white head. Classic belgian yeast spiced aroma. Flavour holds a classic belgian spiced yeast flavour and with mild caramel malt base. Delicate yet faint compared to many other more flavourful belgian tripels.

(33cl bottle, bought a couple of years ago, still bb: June 08) Hazy, orange-golden coloured hue with loads of particles and a thick and persistent foamy white head. Sweet bready (cara-)malty aroma with rather subtle fruity (pears) notes, coriander-spice and noticeable alcohol. Sweet flavour, bready and slightly grainy caramel-malty taste spiced with notes of coriander; full bodied with a lively but pleasant carbonation; medium-dry, sweet-bitter finish with a present but non-disturbing alcoholic touch. A decent Tripel.

Sou fã incondicional das "cervejas do padrinho". Muito malte e discreto lúpulo. Muito equilibrada, de carbonatação alta. Excelente.

A taster at Bieres et Saveurs Chambly. The color is golden with a white head. The taste is of hops and spicies with a sweet finish. The aroma is also of hops but I could smell a bit of citrus to go along with the sweetness.

I’m not a great fan of Tripels but continue to try various ones, hoping I’ll be impressed. Tried a Westmalle Tripel at Resto in NYC and found it quite nice. This was it’s equal, well balanced with only a hint of sweetness. Love that smiling monk.
