Commercial Description:
This beer, with high fermentation, has a pale amber colour and a flowery, fruity taste with a harmonious balance between sweet and sour (8% alcohol content). This beer has a thick and vivid froth and strikes by its balanced taste with a delicate bitterness.

Gold color with giant white head and thick lacing. Big sweet, fruity aroma. Flavor was very sweet and fruity with light alcohol burn. Some citric notes. Great

330ml bottle. Burnished gold colour with a big, off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, honey and spice. Flavour also started sweet with some spice, before a dry, bitter finish. very good.

33 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Golden with infrequent yeast flecks, large white froth. Aroma: Sickly sweet floral honey, some citrus and coriander/other spice, light pear/apple, apricots/peaches, saccharine sweetness...blech. Palate: Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation, a touch syrupy. Flav.: Plenty sweet, floral honey, some citrus notes, a little bite (alcohol?), some very fruity/bubblegum-like esters; quite sweet, a little tart and bitter enough for balance.

I guess, for me, Belgians are an even-numbered experience. Dubbels and Quadrupels are wonderful. Belgian ales and Tripels...not so much.

Bottled. Pours clear golden with fair white head, lots of sediment in the bottle still. Aroma is pretty yeasty with bready maltiness behind. Kinda flat carbonation-wise but with a nice mouthfeel. Flavor has good maltiness with a slight spiciness and mild fruitiness. Not really any outstanding flavors in this, it’s well balanced I guess, yeasty like it should be, and quite good overall. Finish is fairly dry and it has a decent bitterness to it. If it’s truly 8% abv, I would say it is well disguised. I’ll have another to decide.

Bottle, bottle has aged a bit, much of the wheat and yeast has formed into large floaties, so i just poured slow fro m he top, it formed a frothy white head that left quickly but had nice lacing. Light fruity tart notes, with some apricot, and tangerine notes. Pours cloudy light gold color. Not as fruity or tart as the aroma lets on, rather dry with subtle spice. Fairly carbonated. Hops are slighly metallic. Not too bad, I prefer it over the fruitier triples, also alcohol is well hidden and yeast is not too dominate. Not bad at all.

Nov 2005 - I have to admit, as abt 12 is my fav beer and I’ve been on a trippel kick lately, that I had high expectations for this and was a tad disappointed. Beer poured light yellow with orangey tints with a huge head which disappeared rather quickly. Taste was tart and sour with a some sweet fruits and a nice hop twang finish. A good trippel, but not on par with best ones.

Bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar: Very cloudy pale peach color with a generous fluffy white head. Aroma of spice from the yeast and fruity with white grape. Flavor starts peppery and spicy with fruit (pear, grape) a light alcohol burn and a spicy, citrus dry finish. Medium body is creamy and tangy with lively carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured hazy orange little white head that turns to some lace. Belgium yeast, fruit and malt aroma, clean mouth feel some light carbonation. The taste on this one is lightly sweet malty fruity start slightly hoppy bitter finish. Not one of my favorite tripel’s but good non the less
