pilsnerrogge (1609), Finspång, Sweden Sep 11, 2006 [75 cl bottle] Golden, hazy colour. Huge head. Fruity, yeasty aroma with notes of citrus. Tastes pretty much as it smells. Very easy drinking.
taalhiker (111), Dayton, Ohio, USA Oct 3, 2008 From bottle. Pours cloudy dark golden with a thick white head. Standard tripel aromas of yeast, banana, spices and citrus.
Flavors include spice, caramel and floral hops. Very nice.
drjay44 (160), Colorado, USA Oct 1, 2008 750 ml. bottle. Pours a thickish quickly deflating head, lovely lacing, color is pale yellow but cloudy...nose is belgian yeast spice, some cardamom, no hop....taste initially of carbonation then mild sweet malts with accompanying banana tones, finishing with mild hop bitterness, sweet and bitter well balanced....mouth feel appropriate to style. Gypsy19 (216), AMERICA RISING, USA Sep 26, 2008 A decent beer, but disappointing when put next to the 12. Has most of the characteristics of the BT, but in subtler terms. Creaminess, wheat, and other vague goodness with perfect carbonation level. Recommended, nevertheless, get the 12 if available, as in my experience it is only about 10% more in price. emacgee (1129), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Sep 26, 2008 Pours a pale hazy yellow with a two finger creamy white head. the nose is earthy, Belgian, musty, sweet, light alcohol, no spice. The flavor earthy, lightly sweet, slightly off tasting, musty, malty, candy, light alcohol. The palate is crisp with a light bite. rds (115), USA Sep 23, 2008 The carbonation is in perpetual and random motion in this dark golden cloudy ale, with its thick white head. The complexity of flavors, sweet, meadows, bitter, even sour, keeps me interested and coming back. A real fine trippel.
