Sweet malt taste with a smokey flavor and hints of chocolate and caramel. Medium to light bodied and long smokey finish. One of the breweries better beers maybe just because most of the others taste similar to one another. Aggy360 (115), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska, USA

Black beer with a thin brown head. Dark roasted grains with some chocolate and a faint whiff of wet dog in the nose. Roasted grain and burnt toast flavors, with some chocolate that turns bitter in the end. Something lactic in here to. Nothing interesting in this one, but nothing wrong with it either. andyman1216 (5), , Alaska, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Oct 21, 2008 I completely disagree with CaptBier. I love dark beer, tasted a lot of different kinds, and this is my favorite so far. A perfect black beer that compliments the food served. Just the smell of it gets my senses ready to eat.
