Commercial Description:
This brown ale has a marked ruby brown colour with a generous and lasting head. It has a distinctive aroma reflecting the wide range of ingredients used in its production. The fruitiness resulting from its fermentation blends harmoniously with a dominant liquorice and caramel flavour. The body is decidedly malty. The bitterness is the result of a complex alchemy between the fine hops and special malts used. These give St Feuillien Brune a typical dark chocolate appearance.

Garrafa. Coloração âmbar escura e avermelhada. Creme bege razoável. Saborosa. Notas de café e malte torrado. Álcool e amargor leves. Carbonatação média. Encorpada, mas drinkable!

Bottle. Pours a deep ruby red with a puffy and medium-lasting tan head. Aroma is dark fruit, slight coriander/clove spice, and a bit of detectable malt. Taste is rich, with dark fruit and malt up front and a slight spicy aftertaste. Alcohol barely noticeable, not very bitter, and slightly metallic. Overall a very solid effort.

Nose: honey, caramel, black (Assam) tea. Nice bubbly presence in the glass that doesn’t go away too quickly. Malty nuttiness on the tongue. A malty carnival ride, really, but a great main-course dinner beer for darker dishes: red wine-marinated mushrooms, wild rice, parsley, cipolini, maybe a good steak.

Reddish brown with light white head. Aroma is caramel, cider and a bit of wet dog. Taste is same, and a bit sweet and oxidized. Vigorously carbonated. $2.10/11.2oz

Quite a nice, tasty beer with a good mouthfeel and delightful mix of flavors and aromas. You can do a lot worse.

Close to bbf Complex mainly fruity/yeasty aroma with fine notes of wine, herbs and cream. Flavor is broad, with a mixed burned malt/dusty hop bitterness and a wide range of fruity easters giving it its sweetness. Smooth broad and wellbalanced
