Yeasty nose, flavours of dried fruits, caramel and brown sugar. Very roasted malts. Very refined perfumyness - I reckon there might be some coriander thrown in here. An archetypical and excellent Dubbel. 140398 CampbellWilson (533), Scotland

Finish slightly roasty, hop not dominant. weepingsuds (222), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 2, 2005 Pours a reasonable brown colour with light brown head. Flavour was not good enough that I remember anything distinct about it, but I found the taste to be sour and skunky. A far cry from Chimay Rouge. maeib (4740), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
