The Lure:
Pears and cherries flourish amidst the chocolatey yeast. Flowery sweets titillate, what most St.Feuillien beers are able to do, but this one does not distinguish itself from their other dark strongs.
The Festivities:
Spicy coriander and flower petals proliferate atop the dark malt sweetness. Some rusty dryness appears in the end within the portly bubbling. A quite drinkable dubbel, with veiled fruit cake allusions. Probably a small variation on an already existing St.Feuillien brew.
Transcendence:
Watching children run about in a treasure hunt.

Aroma - Figs and dates, some type of spice that I can’t pin down, maybe anise seed, and some nice herbal notes.
Ruby brown in a tulip glass , spare light beige head, with so-so lace.
Flavor - Very good balance with caramel up front and a spicy bitterness close behind, but not overwhelming the excellent malt character.
Palate - Medium to full body, light carbonation, smooth, and a very soft, dry palate.
Overall - Pleasant, easy drinking, and went down well at the end of a wonderful meal.

Jul 9, 2008 Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear golden / amber colour with long lasting off-white head. Aroma is hops, yeast, citrus and spices. Flavor is again citrus, but also a bit "darker" with caramel, dark sugar and hops , giving it a slightly bitter finish. I am not too fond of Easter beers, but this one is ok.

May 31, 2008 bottle at globen, kbh. aroma smelled like cognac, could be too old. was also served way too hot. below the aged taste sensations were some good stuff. i’ll probably re-rate when i find another bottle somewhere.

May 24, 2008 It pours a nic copper colour with a huge head! The aroma has yeast and perhaps some spicies. The flavor is also full of yeast and some spicies, which I cannot name.

Mar 30, 2008 Bottled. Pours out in a slightly hazy amber colour with a rich fluffy lasting white foam. Almondy yeast, dried apricots, dried oranges, cookies, mild herbs and all-spice in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of yeast, nuts, dried oranges and caramelized sugar with peppery alcoholic undertones. Smooth and rather chewy moutfeel. Dried yellow fruits, nuts and yeast in the medium-bitter finish.
