| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 2, 2009 On draft at The Happy Gnome. Gold in colour with a bit of haze and strong carbonation. Aromas are of pale and pilsner malts, spicy yeast, floral and herbal hops, and a bint of apricot. More pilsner malt in the mouth, along with notes of lemon, flowers, and more earthy hops. Drying, but not quite as bone dry as some saisons. Firm bitterness with a lingering finish. Classy stuff. jefcon (999), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 1, 2009 Quite a saison. Herbal hops, light grain, wild yeast and deft caramel malts populate the flavor profile. Much better than the brews that simply dump a dose of brett into the beer. Ever-so-slightly sour. Full palate, great weight, long finish. Glowing in the glass, with an "alive" orange hue. Grassy hops also bring a bit of peppery spice. Tarragon, clove, peppercorn. A complex and well-balanced beer.
