| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 17, 2009 33cl bottle from Utobeer market stall. Anything below 150cl is supposedly the inferior version of this beer, but as I can’t acquire a bottle as huge as that over here i’ll make do with what i’ve got.
Pours gold with a white head. Aromas of apples, floral, some citrus, herbs. Flavours of grapefruit, barley sugars, wheat, pineapple. Bitter mouthfeel. Quite a dry hoppy finish. Not quite the ’perfumed frippery’ i’ve been led to believe, all in all a good solid triple. abemorsten (180), Randaberg, Norway

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 25, 2009 How this beer got such a high rating might have to do with how the brewery is - almost 1000 years?
It’s quite tasty, but not overly so - not even close to a 100 rating in my opinion. Drink this more for the one-time experience of its historicity. beerbastard (98), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Has a flowery lite honey flavor. Flavors are delicate, bitterness is quenching. Clean finish. Goes down easy. TeamTrappist (412), jericho, New York, USA
