Drnk_McDermott (1565), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Feb 13, 2007 Draft goblet at The Map Room, Chicago. Big golden pour with a bit of haze and a white thin pils head. Sweet tripel malt smell cuts through the damnable cigarette smoke in the room. Taste is almost too light, though. A nicely toasted light malt taste, slight bitterness. But the alcohol is hidden here. I know it’ll ambush me at some point, but I just couldn’t pick it out.
Maverick34 (483), New York, USA Oct 12, 2008 Draft at Ginger man. Pours a clear gold. Lots of fruits yeast coriander etc. a bit overly sweet for my palate. Jmichael (582), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Oct 9, 2008 Had at a Bruisin-Ales beer dinner, paired with Rabit Crepinette with potato pancake and Apple braised cabbage, and I have to say it paired excellently. Definitly a great compliment to a meal like this, very proper. And wow was it god. TaxiDriver (547), Stadland, Germany Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Very yeasty, spicy, coriander, very sweet. A very large white foamy-rocky head, very long lasting. Clear yellow body. Moderate acidic start, then it gets a little bit bitter. Dry, medium body, quite lively carbonation. A nice beer. rds (119), USA Sep 27, 2008 A true golden unfiltered brew with a fatihful but svelte white head, this trippel packs the punch of balanced complex layered flavors, perfectily aligned. Sweet maltiness, hops, fruit, with a wonderful clean finish. KyotoLefty (202), Kyoto, Japan Sep 15, 2008 Medium to dark golden color, huge white head. Sweet, honey-citrus aroma, big yeast, wheat and barley malts, lots of lemon, hops and spices as well. Very appetizing. Flavor very lemony, good strong alcohol bite, lots of honey. Spicy, sour, sweet, and bitter. Very complex—there’s a lot going on here! Palate: relatively lite, refreshing, very carbonated. A great tripel.
