Commercial Description:
St. George Fall Bock is our offering of an non-traditional seasonal beer. This Autumn warmer, based on our brewmaster's favorite styles of German beers, couples the dominate malt character and full-bodied base needed to support a higher-alcohol Bock Beer. True to style, we use only noble German hops for perfectly balanced bitterness and a medium hop aroma. A unique lager yeast and a centuries old conditioning process result in an especially smooth, but STRONG (and not surprisingly) amber colored lager with a fine creamy head.

Golden orange color, small head. Nutty and malty, a little roasty in there too, though that could have been from some other beer I had had earlier in the evening. Overall creamy, with a nice finish.

Thanks to hopdog for sharing this one... Appears a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades out. Scattered lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of light caramel, pils malt graininess, mild nuts, and citrus notes. Taste is of the mentioned aromas, along with a light creamyness that comes through in the gentle, sweet flavors. Mouthfeel is smooth, medium bodied, decently carbonated, and citrusy.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Beer_God (thanks!). Poured a deeper orange color with a small sized head. Aromas of nuts and all around malty. Tastes of light caramel and nuts.

Clear red color. Smells sort of rusty. A nice punch of flavor when first tasted. Syrupy and sweet. Pretty good.

Had this on tap at Hampton Fall Fling with Brewmaster Andy and City of Hampton, Mayor Ross A. Kearney, II. Great guys, excellent brew. Clear brownish-copper brew, small tan head. Very light aroma of malt and notes of nuts, and some raisins. When you hear the word bock you expect some warmth but this baby takes warmth to the extreme. THE perfect brew for this outdoor fall fest with clear sunny skies and temps in the upper 50’s. A bit fizzy, not bad, nutty flavor. Not a big alcohol taste but it sure let me know it was there, especially after the second serving. Clean finish.

Bottle... Clear, copper lager with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Malty nose with notes of maple, praline and dark raisins. Sweet, malty flavor. Peppery, earthy hops don’t quite restrain the heavy sweetness. I like ’em malty, but not cloyingly sweet. Full-bodied and lightly oily with lively carbonation. Sweet, then grassy finish.

Bottle. Very weak head. Aroma very malty and nutty. I liked the aroma at first, but started to form a distaste as I finished. Malty and nutty flavor as well. Not very smooth.

One bottle from OBX trip. Some hops in aroma. Nutty malty body. Slightly bitter ending, not as smooth as expected.
