Commercial Description:
St. George Golden Ale is based on an old British recipe, but with an American twist - a slightly sweet, malty flavor with a citrusy finish. It has a thick, creamy head and is golden amber in color.

pours deep gold color with white head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity and hoppy. Flavor is assertively bitter with an unpleasant harsh edge, almost metallic. If you can ignore that there is some decent malt but overall not my favorite.

Beautiful thick golden color, aroma is slightly sweet and is followed by a very smooth flavor with a hint of fruit. Excellent all around experience!

Bottle 355 ml
Appearance: crystal amber ale with rich fine top. Some lacing shown.
Nose: Sweet caramel malts with alpha hop note , some of earth hop feel was present as well. 7+
Flavor/Palate : Medium full bodied with light follow up. Nutty charter with malty amber-gold juicy feel. Straight and drinkable ale. Great as session bitter. High class , neatly balanced ale.

Pours the color of damp straw with a half finger white head. Grassy citrus aroma, not particularly strong. Very sweet and yet bitter taste that seemed rather processed. Easy to drink, but a disappointment nonetheless.

This was a nice beer. I enjoyed the six pack that I had, and I would buy it again. Nice, smooth finish, and it wasn’t too heavy in my stomach. I plan on visiting the brewery, as I live in Hampton, VA.

Bottle courtesy of dkachur. Pours gold with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, dry malt, toasted malt. Tastes moderately bitter and dry with some resiny hints.

Pours light orange with a small blotchy off-white head. The aroma has lots of diacetyl and lightly toasted malt. Medium body with light gentle carbonation. The flavor starts with diacetyl, light dusty spicy hops, then cardboard, dirty caramel and off-sourness. The finish is pretty stale tasting. I got this from a store that’s been open for about two weeks, otherwise I wouldn’t even rate this as being in too bad of shape. This is terrible.
