Commercial Description:
St. George Golden Ale is based on an old British recipe, but with an American twist - a slightly sweet, malty flavor with a citrusy finish. It has a thick, creamy head and is golden amber in color.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with The_Beer_God (thanks!). Poured a medium and a cyrstal clear amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of citrus (lemons and grapefruits), bready, and some cookie dough. Tastes of caramel and citrus. Tastes and body on the thinner side.

Just didn’t like it. Too bitter for my taste and much more than I expected from anything named "golden"

Bottle. Pours copper with a slight haze and ivory head. The aroma is quite malty with burnt sugar, some faint melony fruitiness, and a strange chemical hint. The flavor is burnt sugar, dry leaves, and some dates. The finish is dry with pepper and bitter acorn. This really isn’t at all what I was expecting, but was a bit of a pleasant surprise. Interesting.

Clear orange-amber with a brief but sizeable and sticky white head. Expressive floral and grapefruit nose, sweet and lovely. Medium-bodied, with relatively low carbonation. Flavors are dry but not terribly bitter. They never veer towards real sweetness, but they hint at it with some notes of fruit. Notes of yeast also appear from time to time, adding complexity. The finish features a suggestion of apricot and even greater intensity of flavor than the entry and mid-palate. A pleasurable, flavorful, and somewhat characterful brew that plays well above its ABV.

(bottle 12oz) Clear, light amber color. Very small, creamy white head. Aroma is very floral, as well as grassy, and malt. Flavor is medium sweet citrus fruit and floral, along with what starts out to be a light-to-medium hop bitterness that turns strongly bitter on the back and in the after taste. Medium to full body. Doesn’t seem to fit the style as expected but a good beer; refreshing. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the St. George beers.

Bottle. Grapefruit and maple syrup aroma - very unusual. Cloudy amber with small head. Strong grapefruit hops flavor throughout - very little malt. Moderate acidity. An APA that leans towards IPA.

Bottle... Clear, deep golden ale with a small, creamy off-white head. Crystal malt, grapefruit, sugar cookie aroma. The flavor leans a bit of the bitter side of balance, as advertised. APA all the way. Moderately sweet; more so bitter. Caramel and grapefruit notes. Medium-bodied and mildly fibrous with lively carbonation. Lengthy, bitter finish with a rumor of salt. Sticks to the ribs, this one.

Pored a golden yellow with a ring head. Aroma is nice, sweet and hoppy together. Flavor is sharp hops, carbonation, and sweet finish.
